The Breast Imaging Fellowship Program at Baylor University Medical Center, part of Baylor Scott & White Health, is a one-year fellowship at the Darlene G. Cass Women’s Imaging Center in Dallas, Texas. The program offers comprehensive training in all aspects of advanced breast imaging with a clinically and academically active faculty across multiple disciplines.
The goal of our program is to train the next generation of breast imagers with a solid foundation in scholarship, innovative research and clinical practice.
The Breast Imaging Fellowship Program at Baylor Dallas follows the ACR/Society of Breast Imaging Resident and Fellow Training Curriculum for Breast Imaging.
Training and experience will be provided in all aspects of diagnostic breast imaging, including:

Involvement in a clinical research project is required with the goal that it may lead to publication of a paper in a peer-reviewed article or national presentation. All research projects will performed under faculty guidance and with faculty involvement.
Current faculty interests and active projects include:
Fellows attend a monthly resident breast imaging noon conference and a biweekly breast cancer conference. Under faculty guidance, fellows have primary responsibility for obtaining images, transferring images into electronic format and presenting images at the multidisciplinary breast conference.
Fellows also prepare and present at least two resident noon conferences during the fellowship as well as arrange pathology case reviews with pathology.

The Breast Imaging Fellowship is coordinated with the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program so that the experience of residents and fellows is optimized for both groups. Fellows have a gradual increase in responsibilities and also participate in resident teaching through the development of the breast imaging teaching files and resident conferences.

Breast Imaging has implemented an All-In Match Policy, meaning participating programs cannot extend offers outside the Match.
Our program participates in the Society of Breast Imaging (SBI) Match, administered by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Applicants must register for the Match to be eligible for fellowship appointment at our institution. We use the SBI Universal Application.
